MANOJALAKAM  CD RELEASED

Manojalakam  Part 1 CD: a collection discussions of psychological topics  on Radio Benziger  given by Dr.Jose Puthenveed  was released on 13^th September 2011 at Kristu  Jyothi  Animation Centre Quilon, by His Excellency,Rt.Rev.Dr.Stanley Roman,  presenting a copy to Msgr.Sugun, Director, B.C.C. Diocese of Quilon.  Rt.Rev.Msgr.K.J.Jesudas , Vicar General, introduced the contents of the CD to the priests. Rev.Dr.Jose Puthenveed thanked His Excellency and the audience.

These Discussions were broadcasted in Benziger Radio, Kollam. 

This CD is very useful for schools, parish communities and religious groups to initiate awareness. Promote this CD for saving our children and many precious lives.

The Core Team Teachers' Training Programs

The Core Team Teachers' Training Program of SAP Trinity Lyceum School, Kollam was conducted  on 7^th July 2011 at school auditorium at 3pm. Mr.John S. Principal of the school welcomed the SAP Training Team members and the teachers. Rev.Dr.Jose Puthenveed, Mr. Bijo Joseph and Mary Betsy Wood of SJGCC Kollam conducted the training session for Students’ Evaluation Program (SEP).

The Core Team Teachers' Training Program of SAP Vimalahridaya ISC School, Kollam was conducted  on ^12th July 2011  at 3pm.  Sr.Rexia Mary, Principal of the school welcomed the SAP Training Team members and the teachers. Rev.Dr.Jose Puthenveed, Mr. Bijo Joseph  of SJGCC Kollam conducted the training session for Students’ Evaluation Program (SEP). 

Mind Management Program 4th Oct.2011

Life Skills Training Program for Trinity Lyceum Plus Two students was held on 4^th Oct.2011. Mr.S.John Principal inaugurated the workshop Mrs.Mercy William, Vice-principal welcomed the resource persons.  Dr.Jose Puthenveed & Mr.Bijo Joseph SJGCC SAP staff facilitated the workshop. Dr.Glenn Christo, Vice - Chancellor of Martin Luther Christian University happened to visit Kollam and took a keen interest in the STUDENTS’ ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SAP) and attended the half-day session and spoke to the students. Mrs.Jesslet Jochan conducted a parallel one hour session for the girls.   Topics such as peer-pressure, substances abuses and suicide prevention with psychosocial screening tests were conducted. Group discussions and panel presentations were held. Students expressed much appreciation for the sessions.

 

One of the students wrote: 

"The workshop conducted on 4^th October 2011 was an experience for me. I expected the class to be a “usual how to study” material but it was not.  The materials used for the class was really attractive. SAP Parent Awareness cum Intervention Training Program for Parents

Trinity Lyceum School, Kollam

On 11^th February 2012 parents and children came to the campus of Trinity Lyceum not for their usual lesions or PTA meeting. The occasion was an awareness class cum training for parents in dealing with the exam and social phobias. The Students’ Assistance Program (SAP) of Trinity Lyceum School conducted this unique program with the assistance from SJGCC, Kollam. Rev.Dr.Jose Puthenveed , Director of SJGCC, Kollam facilitated the training sessions and the MSc Counselling Psychologists trained by SJGCC conducted the one-to-one counseling sessions for the parents. Mr.Bijo Joseph, SAP Counselor and Co-coordinator welcomed the parents and students. Some scenes presented  from the meeting.

College Teachers Awareness Programs

St.Michel's College, Cherthala

A one-day seminar on ‘’Revamping Teaching Attitudes ‘’of college teachers  was conducted on 29th June 2011 from 10 A.M  till  3.30 P.M at St.Michael’s  College,Cherthala,  Alleppy.  Fr.Solomon Charanghat, Manager of the College inaugurated  the seminar.  Mr.Mathews, coordinator of Guidance Services welcomed the participants.  Rev.Dr.Jose Puthenveed, Mr.Bijo J  & Sr.Melvina  of Holy Cross were  the  resource persons.
