Kuruva Islands is 17 km east of Mananthavady and 40 km north west of Sulthan Bathery, nearby towns in Wayanad District. Kuruvadweep (Kuruva Island) is a 950-acre (3.8 km2) protected river delta on the Kabini River in the Wayanad district,Kerala, India.This island of dense and evergreen forest is uninhabited and hence a home to rare kinds of flora and fauna: uncommon species of birds, orchids and herbs are spotted here.

Muthanga Wildlife sanctuary trip

Established in 1973, Muthanga Wildlife sanctuary is contiguous to the protected area network of Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka on the northeast and Mudumalai of Tamil Nadu on the southeast. Rich in bio-diversity, the sanctuary is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
